Managing Your Anxiety with Guided Imagery, Stage 1 CD

CD 1 in the Antidotes for Criticism & Rebuke: Guided Imagery Series by Markus Lefkovits

An audio CD on structured imagery exercise to help people who are suffering from attention and/or
learning problems manage anxiety.

Length: approximately 12 minutes

Why does guided imagery help people with ADHD and learning disabilities?

Two of the most common additional symptoms for people with ADHD and learning disabilities are anxiety and depression. The use of guided imagery and cognitive behavioral strategies are well documented tools in their treatment.

Have you ever tried it?

When I first heard of guided imagery, I thought it was a fun idea for people with a rich imagination and love of the absurd. But then I experienced guided imagery as a patient. My fear of flying, fear of public speaking, and blood pressure all got better… without medication.

I’ve been a fan of this process ever since that initial experience, and I help others incorporate it as one of their tools for life-long management. I’ve produced this series of short imagery exercises (10–12 minutes each) to help more people incorporate guided imagery into their lives.

Is guided imagery difficult?

As I’ve told many people, if you know how to daydream, then you will enjoy guided imagery. Want to know the best part? As you practice, it gets easier and it works better.
